What is a Coaching Patterns Guide?
The ‘Coaching Patterns Guide’ is a learning format designed for people who not only wish to use coaching patterns for their own benefit, but also want to apply them effectively when working with groups, teams or coachees.
In what way does a guide differ from users of the card sets?
The card set is also suitable for personal reflection. ‘Coaching Patterns Guides’ take it a step further: they use the cards in coaching sessions, workshops and training programmes with others – including induction, resources and access to the ‘Guide Room’.
As a guide, do I need prior knowledge of Kanban?
No. The ‘Coaching Patterns Guide’ is not limited to teams or organisations that work exclusively with Kanban. The format is particularly well suited to situations where work systems are to be specifically improved and changes managed in a step-by-step manner.
What prior knowledge would be helpful?
Experience in coaching, facilitation, training or organisational development is an advantage, as is a sound understanding of Kanban and work systems. A qualification such as the ‘Kanban Management Professional’ (Kanban University) provides a solid foundation, but is not a formal requirement.
Who is the ‘Coaching Patterns Guide’ particularly suitable for?
This format is particularly well suited to Agile coaches, Kanban coaches, Scrum Masters, consultants, trainers and anyone who supports and develops coaches or coaching teams.
What does onboarding involve?
With the ‘Guide Starter Kit’, you can get started straight away. It includes printed materials, digital resources, an induction session and six months’ access to the ‘Guide Room’.
What is the ‘Guide Room’ and what can I find there?
The ‘Guide Room’ is a dedicated section for all Coaching Patterns guides here on the platform.
In the ‘Guide Room’, you’ll find the card set, introductory scenarios, workshop agendas, the card navigator, discussion forums, dates and further resources for working with Coaching Patterns in practice.
Is the Coaching Patterns Guide intended more for personal development or for working with others?
Both are possible. However, the Coaching Patterns Guide focuses on working with others — that is, with groups, teams and coachees.
Of course, you will personally benefit from working with the patterns as you develop.
